Keeping Your Extinguishers Ready for Use
Portable fire extinguishers should receive a basic service at least annually by a competent technician. Servicing checks the condition, pressure, safety components, location and suitability of each unit, with any required action clearly recorded.
Between professional services, the Responsible Person should carry out monthly visual checks to confirm that extinguishers remain accessible, undamaged and in their designated positions.
